Jonathon Acevedo is an accomplished real estate development professional specializing in complex urban projects that integrate financial strategy, public-private partnerships, and mission-driven impact. His work spans luxury residential development, affordable housing finance, and large-scale mixed-use projects across New York and Los Angeles.
As an Associate Project Manager at a Brooklyn-based development firm, Jonathon supported the delivery of high-end condominium projects, overseeing construction progress, managing multimillion-dollar budgets, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, and leading competitive bidding processes for core trades.
Previously, as Project Manager at Project Renewal in New York City, he led transformative developments addressing housing insecurity. He secured public financing for a $14 million renovation of a 307-unit supportive housing complex and represented ownership in the development of a $67 million, 200-bed shelter. He also played a key role in securing funding through New York State’s Homeless Housing and Assistance Program for a mixed-use project combining affordable housing, a licensed medical clinic, and shelter beds for individuals experiencing homelessness with co-occurring behavioral health needs. In addition, he structured the complete capital stack and financial model for a proposed 21-story, $130 million redevelopment in Midtown Manhattan, guiding the project through early predevelopment milestones including entitlement strategy, design coordination, and stakeholder negotiations.
Earlier in his career, Jonathon served as a Real Estate Analyst at Grapevine Development in Los Angeles, where he led underwriting efforts for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. He built detailed pro formas and financial models, developed internal capital tracking systems, responded to RFPs, conducted market research, and collaborated with city officials throughout the entitlement process. He later returned to Grapevine Development in Los Angeles in a senior capacity, bringing expanded expertise in affordable housing finance, luxury residential development, public-private partnerships, and large-scale construction management.
Jonathon combines analytical rigor with practical execution to bring projects from concept through completion. His work is grounded in a commitment to equitable development, long-term value creation, and expanding economic opportunity in underserved communities.
